Happy, Lady and Lucy are recuperating (they’ve been working hard on their next King’s Life book featuring Aspen), so we’ve taken over their blog while they’re napping. It was with great excitement that we helped The Phoenician Resort, Scottsdale launch their very first children’s picture book – Discover The Phoenician with Phoe-Phoe & Friends – to commemorate their 25th anniversary. The book colorfully showcases all the wonderful things there are to do for kids, as well as their dogs, at this magical resort.
Phoe-Phoe, the cottontail rabbit mascot of the resort’s Funicians Kids Club narrates the story with a little help from her friends – distinct characters in themselves. You’ll meet wise old Tut-Tut the turtle whose been at The Phoenician property since before it was even built; Charlie the bear, a big, huggable guy who’ll accompany you in the Funicians’ cart to take you to your next adventure on the property; and a huge team of mini Phoe-Phoe bunnies who will keep you on the hop! You can see them here during our latest interview (yes, that is Dan Merchant behind Charlie the bear!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMACd5WsjQ0
Snickers, a cuddly Pomeranian with the gift of making everyone feel better, also makes a cameo in the book. He is a real life angel, with his phenomenal human Ann, working as a pet-therapy dog nearly every day of the week. He volunteers for Gabriel’s Angels, one of our beloved charities for which we are advocates.
The book is available directly from The Phoenician and our bookstore right here. We hope you’ll pick up a copy and enjoy it for many years to come.
